Q: What is the difference between Premium photo paper and Deluxe?

Premium: The Premium photo paper book uses real photo paper (not printed but exposed), with a weight of 340 gsm. It is available with a matte or glossy finish. Thanks to the layflat (Leporello) binding, the pages lie completely flat – ideal for panoramic images. Deluxe: The Deluxe book is printed on satin-finished digital printing paper (170 gsm), offering very good image quality with a slight sheen. In A4 format, you can optionally choose high-gloss pages. The book always comes with a sturdy, glossy laminated hardcover.

What material are ifolor Deluxe photo books made of?

We use wood-free, high-quality coated paper for our photo books. This paper is specially designed for digital and laser printing, ensuring the best print quality.

What material are ifolor Premium photo paper photo books made of?

The Premium photo paper photo books are made with genuine photo paper. Unlike traditional printing, the images are exposed onto real photo paper. The paper weight is 340 gsm. ifolor offers a choice of matte or glossy photo paper for the inner pages, as well as a matte or glossy cover.
Thanks to the layflat (Leporello) binding, the pages lie completely flat, making double-page photos especially striking.

Is it possible to start a photo book in ifolor Designer and continue it in the ifolor app?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to switch from ifolor Designer to the ifolor app while creating a project. However, you can transfer the project from one PC to another, as long as both use the same operating system.

What is the difference between Soft and Spiral?

The Spiral photo book is held together by a practical and sturdy spiral binding. The Soft photo book has a softcover binding with glue binding.

Can I remove the ifolor logo from the back of the photo book?

Yes, removing the ifolor logo is generally possible – except in the Android and iOS apps. In the shopping cart, you can select the option to remove the logo.

How can I edit the photo book on multiple PCs?

Transferring between multiple PCs is possible as long as the same operating system is used. All ifolor Designer projects are stored on the private hard drive.

Can I import PDF files into my photo book?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to import PDF files into photo books.

What happens to empty placeholders?

If a placeholder is left empty during design, it will not be printed in production. It is not visible in the printed book that there was an empty placeholder at that position.

How can I share my photo book online?

Sharing the photo book in ifolor Designer is no longer available. Alternatively, you can order your photo book as an eBook in the shopping cart.

The eBook is the digital version of your photo book. You can download it after completing your order and view and share it without time limits. Once your photo book has been produced, you will receive a personal download link via email, valid for 30 days. The eBook file format is EPUB. Viewing depends on the EPUB reader (free readers are available online). On iOS devices, eBooks can usually be viewed using the default “Books” app. eBooks cannot be edited. Recipients can only view the photo book.
